Break the spell that's holding you captive. Release blessings from God when you hand over the reins of what is controlling your emotions to the one that cares for every part of you. But God won’t do what we won’t allow. First we have to relinquish pride, control and micromanaging.

Break the spell of self sufficiency. Humility means submit to the Lord no matter how hard it is to let go. Fear of the Lord is reverence and awe of someone greater than us. We bow down to our Creator and let our kingdoms fall in place of His. Having relationship with Christ is to care what God thinks of our lives and never leave him out. Do you want to be under the captivating influence of everything that tells you to find happiness in anything but the Word of God? Do you want to see what's only in front of you and not beyond? Do you want to keep complaining about now instead of celebrating victories won today and tomorrow?

What happens when you give your All to a career, a person, or a goal? You can’t see anything else but that. It's almost as if you’re under a spell. Well what if poof! that job let's you go, that person leaves, that goal dies will you die with it all? Worldly success may feel good for the moment and it may feel like your apart of the in crowd but imitations always fade after time. It's those that place their trust in the Lord whose faith is going to last. It's those that pray about everything anywhere anytime that will be victorious. It's those who invest their time in the Word that's going to have power in any dire situation whether it be a relationship on the rocks, a health battle or a financial collapse. Every breakthrough has a scripture to stand on.

The key to riches, honor and long life are not found in self help books and magazine spreads, it's not found being the top of your class or in a holiday bonus or raise. Although these things may have clout in this world it will never have the power to give our mind rest, our soul peace and our spirit eternal life. Let's be captivated by Jesus. Let us seek after our purpose which is only found spending intimate time with our Maker. Let us give our precious time to the one who will never let us down. Let's make a pact that can’t be broken by life’s situations. Let's make a pact to surrender all to the Lord who will exchange our temporary for eternal. Because the only spell we should be under is the Gospel-l
