And a child shall lead them
I am a first grade teacher in Georgia. It is my daytime job. It is rewarding and always challenging. I just overcame my 1st week of school this year. Woohoo! It is just the beginning. There are so many milestones to come. I have six year olds on all different levels. Some can read some struggle with letter sounds. Some can speak articulately some are not able to perform complete sentences. But they all have potential. They have potential to lead and be heard. It is my job to mold and shape them for the next level.
Joash became king of Judah when he was only seven years old! The prophet of the day secretly anointed him king while his wicked grandmother reigned. The grandmother thought she killed all the children of her son but this one was hidden until the appointed time. When he turned seven it was his time. King Joash did good and not evil in the sight of the Lord and he reigned over Judah for forty years. What the enemy means for evil God makes it good! (2Kings 11:21)
No matter how young the child is when God calls them it is the right time. God has perfect timing. Please don't count our children out. There is a leader in them all no matter how tiny the voice or body. We need to hide them and protect them from the claws of the enemy who wants to abort their reign. Our children are royalty, to the boys of this generation there is a King in you!
If we accept Jesus into our hearts there will be a king in us all. Speak kingship over children and they will do good and not evil in the sight of the Lord.
Pray for your children today. Bless the born and unborn. Declare greatness and not curses over their life. Give their lives back to the Lord to serve him for the rest of their days just like Hannah did for Samuel. Ask God to reveal their calling at a tender age and they will walk in purpose and the confidence of Christ.
